The truth of the Gospel is simplicity itself. The Gospel confirms what we already know about ourselves - we are far from perfect.
The Gospel also tells us that our biggest problem is not economics or race, job opportunities or poor marriages, but sin.
The Gospel tells us that no amount of good works can erase our sin.
But the Gospel also gives us good news (in fact, the word 'gospel' means good news).
The Gospel tells us that salvation is full and complete; sinners are made completely righteous by faith in Jesus Christ.
How does salvation come? Through Jesus Christ alone.
Sinners are dead because of their sins, but God makes sinners alive in Christ.
So, how does a sinner actually receive this salvation? By trusting in Jesus Christ.
If you have never trusted Jesus Christ, then I urge you to trust Him right now. There are no magic words to pray. You don't need a priest or minister to carry out some spiritual rite for you. You can, right now, turn away from your sin, commit your life to Jesus, and receive the gift of eternal life.
